Chinese New Year Assembly

Friday 12th February marked the beginning of the lunar new year festival and for those that are celebrating, we wish you Gong Xi Fa Cai. May the year of the Ox bring you strength and determination to move forward with hope and love. We hope you enjoy this special Chinese New Year assembly produced by our Year 7 Chinese language students, with the help of other Chinese language students across the year levels.

We hope you enjoy this virtual Christmas concert brought to you by the students and staff of The Piggott School.

When we think of the countdown to Christmas, it's tempting to just think of advent calendars and chocolate. But there's much more to it than that!  Advent is an important part of the Christian calendar. It means 'coming' and it's the period before Christmas, which celebrates the birth of Jesus. It is all about preparing for Christmas Day. Advent starts on the Sunday nearest to 30 November.
